Believing that Education for Life includes developing the whole person, our goal in the athletic department is to promote the importance life-long physical fitness. From Preschool through Grade 12 we have specially designed, age appropriate programs to build strength, coordination, self-confidence, teamwork and athletic abilities.
Team sports help to build important character-building life skills. Through interscholastic and intramural sports, students learn the value of teamwork and understanding. We are members of the Nevada Interscholastic Athletics Association (NIAA) and compete with other independent and public schools in the Southern Nevada area. Our competitive sports offerings for boys and girls include: swimming, soccer, lacrosse, tennis, basketball, dance, fencing, cross county and volleyball. All students are encouraged to join any of our teams.
Unique to most schools in the area, we teach life guarding as an elective for upper school students. Upon completion of this course, students become certified and are job-ready for summer employment.
The Adelson Middle School participates in the Red Rock Athletic Conference 5th/6th and 7th/8th leagues.
The Adelson Upper School competes within the Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association. We are classified as a member of the 1A South League.
